"This is a two (2) stage off-set cache. The above coordinates will take you to a memorial at a Veterans Service Organization. Please take a moment to remember our past and present military service members. Here you will find a key box with the numbers to add/subtract to find the final stage. The final stage is an ammo box that started with some former military items and one TB and FTF gift. There is plenty of room to trade many items. If you are a veteran you are welcome to stop into the lounge (noon - ??? 7 days a week) and have a refreshing beverage and swap some stories with your fellow veterans.
CONGRATS TO GEOSCHMODIE ON THE FTF
Additional Hints:
Protected by Old Glory.
Due West then due south.
Mind the greenbrier and sandburrs.
=============================================================================
this was out last (of 7) CACHES we decided to find for the day. and again it was picked in honor of it beng MEMORIAL DAY for us
cordinates lead us to: VETRANS SERVICE ORGANIZATION MEMORIAL
behind the rocket insode the wall you can read:
it was here that the first issue with a bouncing GPS for the day was taxing...
the cordinates kept leading "Cra" to a small ush on the backside of the monumwnt, where upon investigation yeilded NOTHING.
we looked everywhere and i read the clues again....
i knew it had SOMETHING to do with the flag....i was right!
my lips are sealed (I AINT TELLING YA WHERE IT WAS!!lol)
upon the discovery of the small KEYBOX
was a small piece of paper with some writing on it...
the second half of this puzzle was within our reach...
it would also prove to be the most taxing for my attitude.
"Cra" didnt assess the adjustment in math correctly 3 times...we were ALL OVER the place looking for an ammo box, we were never sure exactly if the right co-ordinats were even given.
securityguy came out asking what we were doing, said GEOTXBADGER was actually inside....i almost asked for his assistance, but i felt like that was really a cheat/giveaway and wanted to do it by direction only...
so, we tried again....
we eventually were lead to an area where there were alot of "BRIERS" and "SANDBURRS"not even sure we were in the right direction:
"Cra" followed the GPS and found the CACHE (THANK GOODNESS!)
we took inventory:
* BAGGIE: LOGBOOK/PEN
* BAGGIE: GEOCACHING BUSINESS CARDS for GEOTXBADGER (took one)
* 14 MILITARY PATCHES of different ranks and divisions (took one)
* PEWTER ANGEL
* B2 BLUE KEYCHAIN
* TRAVELBUG #UN9PCW
* CD:SOULIVE
we signed logbook, and left cache as we found it, went home to celebrate our quest hunts for the day and the sucess of finding 7 CACHEs as a family.

i was excited to find this cache, hoped some of the items listed in original drop would still be there, specially the BOO&SHU COIN.
we drove uo to COCTAW CREEK PARK
then had to get our bearings straight...had we parked 2 parking spaces in the other direction i never would have had the opportunity to take the beautiful walk and snap some pics of the scenery, and i wouldnt have had the exercize i had either...but hindsight, is 20/20...lol
"Cra" & "Dan" starting the quest.
as you get on the path you come to a small pond...when we approached it there were 2 ducks, male and female right on the bank, i wasnt quick enough to catch them anyclosert than swimming away...
shot of the pond...very pretty even on this overcast day, the picture does NOT do it any justuce!
some pretty flowers along the bank of the pond...growing wild
we had fun watching this windmill spin in the wind...was an attractive addition to the scenery
the GPS fianlly homed in on the location and into the woods we all go
shortly there after the CACHE was discovered!
picture of the CAHE container:
this cache was attached by a string. this ones hanging in the tree. i thought it was an excellent way to hide a CACHE, and i may utilize the idea for our future CACHE.
we took inventory: sadly almost all the ORIGINAL cache was missing, INCLUDING THE LOG BOOK & PEN!!!
contnets included:
* "YELLOW" learning color card
* OKLAHOMA POST CAR (original to the cache)
